Heather Adams is vice president of Human Resources, responsible for all aspects of human resource management, including organizational development, talent management, staffing and compensation. She has more than 20 years of human resources experience, primarily in the health care industry across multiple biotechnology and medical device companies.
Prior to joining Turning Point Therapeutics, Ms. Adams served as chief administrative officer from Bionano Genomics, a publicly traded genomics analysis company where she was responsible for administrative functions including human resources. She previously served in senior human resources positions for life sciences companies of various sizes, including Illumina, Micrus Endovascular and AngioScore. Early in her career, she was a researcher in the areas of protein chemistry, animal physiology and liver cell discovery, resulting in several publications in scientific journals.
In addition to her professional career, she is a contributing author to the book, Awakening Social Responsibility: A Call to Action, and served on the Advisory and Steering Committees for curriculum development at Mission College in greater San Francisco where she worked with area high schools and San Jose State University to create an education program to support the rapidly growing biotechnology and medical device industries. She also co-founded the Human Connexus Foundation, a non-profit organization to connect personal donors directly with individuals identified to have qualifying needs.
